Real Sapphire Secure Second Win of the Season with Triumph over Valiant

Real Sapphire made it two wins out of three as they put two past Valiant and climbed to third on the log.

The hosts, yet to concede a league goal this season, got off the blocks fastest. Going forward, they created chances. Defensively, they thwarted all that Valiant threw at them. From their smooth exchange of passes to their domination of the midfield, Coach Darko’s lads were in full control.

It was no surprise then when they broke the deadlock in the 43rd minute.

Of all the players in the 18-yard area, Uoma Sunday rose the highest, and connected well with the corner-kick, heading the ball past the defender on the line and putting the hosts in front.

Fuelled by the goal, the hosts started the second half as they did the first, with intensity and a hunger to grab their second goal. The goal would come in the 47th minute as Mahmud Shehu was pressured into turning the ball into his own goal.

For all of their efforts, Valiant failed to trouble their hosts as Real Sapphire cruised to another victory – and ended another TCC League game this season without conceding a goal.
