VOE Sweep Imperial Aside in #TCCFinalDay Hurrah

VOE put six past Imperial as they signed off on their maiden TCC League season inA style.

Despite starting the game on the front foot, it was Imperial who broke the deadlock in the third minute thanks to Bolaji Sunday’s 3rd minute strike. The hosts looked like they’d take the lead into the break. But VOE had other ideas.

In the 42nd minute, Abdulraheem Kehinde broke free of his marker in the six-yard area to nod the ball home from close range. Fueled by their first, VOE got their second two minutes later as Muhammed Sodiq put the visitors in front.

With the wind in their sails, VOE started the second half like they did the first. And it didn’t take long to add a third, as Ajao Idowu extended his side’s lead from the spot. Up against a visibly worn out Imperial defense, VOE’s fourth goal was inevitable. In the 72nd minute, the hosts were caught ball-watching as Kehinde secured his double with another header.

He went on to complete his hat-trick four minutes from time, securing VOE’s biggest win this season.
