Dino Held at Broad City, Finish Season with Eighth Draw of the Campaign

Dino and Broad City shared the spoils as both sides ended their campaign on a quiet note.

The hosts came into the game looking to end the season with a fifth win on the bounce. And Micheal Famoyegun’s brilliant 20th-minute strike put them on course early, setting the tone for the game.

But Dino was not going to back down easily. Keeping their opponents at bay, Coach Godwin’s boys pressed for an equalizer. Time and again, they stung Rahmon’s gloves with shots, creating chances but failing to convert.

They however found their breakthrough on the stroke of half-time. Rahmon’s weak kick went only as far as Daniel Effiong. The winger, with plenty of space, positioned well before striking a low shot from 25-yards out. The ball squeezed between Rahmon and his near-post as Dino got one back.

In the second half, both sides were guilty of missing chances as the half played out without a winner. For Broad City, the point was enough to finish the season in third, the highest they’ve managed in the league. For Dino, it’s a season to forget as they finish the season in 7th.
