Third Loss in a Row for Sporting Lagos as VOE Pick Maximum Points

VOE secured a third home victory this season with a 1-0 victory over Sporting Lagos.

Both sides started the game evenly matched giving very little away. Sporting Lagos, having lost their previous two, pushed hard for the opener but met an equally ambitious home side pushing for maximum points in a bid to tighten their grip on eighth spot.

An intense second half followed a quiet first as the search for a goal heated up. The game seemed destined for a goalless draw until second-half substitute Abdulraheem Kehinde’s strike broke the deadlock in the 70th minute.

There was no coming back for Sporting Lagos as they slumped to a third defeat in a row. The result now puts them at risk of slipping further than their current sixth position. For VOE, they’re making it an interesting finish to a memorable maiden TCC League season.
