Valiant Move Up to Nine with Slim Victory Over Imperial

A 1-0 win was enough for Valiant to overtake Imperial and occupy ninth place on the table.

The visitors did all the early heavy lifting, troubling their hosts with dangerous attacks down the flanks. For all of their effort however, they lacked the appropriate finishing – same as Valiant –  which left the game goalless.

15 minutes into the 2nd half all of that changed as Valiant took the lead against the run of play. Ayomide Akinsola’s attempt was bundled over the line, despite the crowd of players and the melee that ensued between them. His would be the only goal of the game as Imperial failed to make the most of their chances.

The loss sees Imperial drop down to 10th as the slide down the table continues.
