For a second time this season, Broad City scored six goals in a TCC League match as they demolished Iganmu.
The hosts scored the opener in the 28th minute as Chidubem’s effort from a tight angle bounced off an opposing defender before rolling into the net. Four minutes later however, the game was back on level terms. Ebube Daniel took advantage of Broad City’s high line (of defense), beating the offside trap before rounding the keeper to draw his side level.
With momentum on their side, the visitors scored their second – in similar fashion – in the 45th minute. This time, it was Ibrahim Ogede’s turn to beat the offside trap, round the goalie and tap into an empty net. The eventful half was however far from over.
In the third minute of added time, Broad City won a penalty which Christopher Jeremiah converted to pull his side back into the game.
Four minutes into the second half, a determined Iganmu side struck again, scoring the half’s first goal. They seemed set for a famous win until the 74th minute when Micheal Famoyegun’s goal drew Broad City level.
That was the straw that broke the camel’s back as the hosts scored three more in 15 minutes to seal an emphatic win and move into fourth place.
MAN OF THE MATCH

An excellent display by the defensive midfielder.
