Valiant secured their second away win of the season in dramatic fashion, leaving it late at Iganmu.
The game, which started as a cagey affair, featured only a handful of chances. The visitors started the game the better side, often finding space behind the Iganmu defense. Their finishing however let them down time and again, as they failed to make the most of their chances.
The game seemed destined for a draw until Valiant’s last hoorah. In the 88th minute, Samson Kolo’s long goal kick started off a counter-attacking move. Second-half substitute Kaor Owen Shenji received the ball in the box before poking it past Kennedy to break the deadlock.
Iganmu’s defensive frailties took center-stage again as Valiant heaped more misery on the team at the bottom of the table.
