Bakare Double Seals First February Win for Broad City

A goal in each half was enough to earn Broad City a win at Imperial, their first in February.

With three wins and three losses in 2026, Broad City came into the game looking to break even, in a good way. And they got things off with energy, pressing their hosts for an early goal. 

And even though they had to wait 30 minutes, they got the opener they were looking for, courtesy of an Ayomide Bakare strike. The attacker found himself in the right place at the right time to poke the ball home and put the visitors in front.

Imperial failed to find their footing for the most of the game, forcing them to deal with Broad City’s quick breaks, which led to the second goal conceded. Ayomide Bakare was again in the mix of things, making the most of his positioning with a simple tap-in from inside the six-yard box to extend Broad City’s lead.

Imperial had no response for both goals as they succumbed to back-to-back losses.
