Atlantic Business Continue Scoring Spree; Overwhelm VOE

For the first time this season, Atlantic Business scored five goals in a TCC League game as they pummeled VOE 5-3.

The scoring spree started in the 15th minute when Damilare Johnson was on hand to tuck home a rebound from close range. Eight minutes later, Gbenga Johnson’s header doubled Atlantic’s lead as they maintained control of the game.

Coach Japhet’s boys got a third in the 26th minute as a counter-attacking move ended with Joshua blasting the ball into the top right hand corner of the goal.

Not willing to let their guests out of their sights, VOE pulled one back in the 28th minute. Ogunsile Daniel sent his beautiful free-kick below the wall and into the bottom corner of Wasiu’s goal. Both sides scored again just before half-time, putting the half-time score at 4-2.

Muhammed Sodiq’s converted penalty in the 58th minute seemed like the start of a VOE come-back. Their guests however were having none of it, as they added to their tally to complete the rout.

The comprehensive win sees Atlantic move up to sixth on the log as VOE remain rooted in ninth.
