Broad City Blast Past (the) Atlantic into Fourth

Broad City bounced back to winning ways in style as they brushed Atlantic Business aside 2-0.

Starting the MatchDay a handful of points outside the Top 4, the mission was clear. And so they started the game, with high ambition and intensity, aiming to get the game’s first goal. They were however met by an equally ambitious Atlantic Business looking to make it two wins on the bounce.

Evenly matched, both sides would end the first half without a goal. The second half started in a similar manner: both sides locked in and unwilling to buckle.

The hosts however broke through in the 72nd minute thanks to Jeremiah Christopher’s goal. The striker received a defense-splitting pass just behind the visitors’ defense. He would go on to lob the goalkeeper and slot the ball into an empty net.

The hosts extended their lead six minutes from time, with Jeremiah Christopher finding space and time in the 18-yard area to fire home from an acute angle. There would be no response from the visitors as Coach Ogunmoyero’s lads picked up yet another home win.

It’s a fifth home win this season for Broad City as they moved into fourth on the log.
