Sporting Lagos Continue Unbeaten Home Run with Slim Victory

Sporting Lagos’ 1-0 victory over Dannaz extended their unbeaten home run in the TCC League this season.

The hosts asserted their dominance early, with Fuhad Ojediran’s 4th-minute attempt flying just inches wide of the goal. In the 39th minute, Ibrahim Abubakar’s 39th minute attempt was tipped over the bar before Abuchi’s goal attempt in the 1st minute of stoppage time rattled the woodwork.

Three minutes into the 2nd half, the hosts found their breakthrough. Abuchi Lawrence was on hand to finish off a pass from Taiwo Salawudeen, putting Coach Atu’s side in front.

Dannaz, looking to pull one back to save face in the derby, had no response for the might of their hosts. Sporting Lagos would run out winners in a game where they could have scored more than one goal.
