Donald Godwin Shines as Atlantic Business Reduce Gap at the Top

Donald Godwin was the only name on the scoresheet as Atlantic Business hit Iganmu for six in their opening TCC League game of the year.

God’s Own Team, looking to keep Beyond Limits within reach, drew first blood in the 8th minute, with Donald Godwin nodding the ball beyond Sunday Elijah’s reach.

Eight minutes later, Godwin was in the right place at the right time, this time scoring yet another header to extend his side’s lead. His positioning again paid off in the 23rd minute as he fired home a low shot from close range to bag his hat-trick.

But he wasn’t done yet.

14 minutes into the 2nd half, Atlantic Business were four goals to the good thanks to the same man who, in the 66th minute, got his glut of goals from the spot.

He would go on to add a sixth in the 75th minute, becoming the first player in the TCC to score six goals in a game – league or cup.
