Flustered Eagles Downed at VOE FA

VOE wrapped up their year on a high note, defeating Gbagada 3-0.

The hosts began the game in the finest way possible, breaking the deadlock in the fifth minute. Opatokun Abiola and Shobaike Oluwasegun combined well on the left, freeing up space for Adewuyi Ayomide to run into and score from close range.

20 minutes later, the hosts doubled their lead. Exploiting Gbagada’s weakness on the left, Folorunsho Mayowa’s to run into and thread a cross from. The ball found Opatokun Abiola, who rose highest to nod the ball home for VOE’s second.

The hosts gave little away as the visitors struggled to threaten. At the start of the 2nd half, VOE extended their lead, with Shobaike getting a goal of his own in the 47th minute. The game would remain that way till the end, with the hosts registering a first-ever TCC League win against Gbagada.
