Gbagada continue scoring spree, put three past Escola

Gbagada scored three times against Escola to make it four games without a loss.

The Blue Eagles, playing their second consecutive away game, dominated early proceedings. 11 minutes after kick-off, they scored their first through Semiu Fagbayi.

The player, fresh off being voted Player of the Month in November, intercepted Escola’s build-up play from the back. Racing towards goal, his left-footed shot fizzed underneath Chike Chinedu’s arms.

Despite being the away team, Gbagada asserted their dominance on the game. And it didn’t take long to get their second.

Rilwan Gbadamosi was felled in the box. Segun Alfred stepped up to the spot and converted to hand Coach Akinyelu’s boys a two-goal lead. For all the questions the hosts asked in the first half, the hosts had no response.

They however started the second half better than they did the first, and got their goal 10 minutes in through Rasheed Jimoh. Gbagada would go on to score a third (through Rilwan Gbadamosi) and restore their two-goal lead and record their third win in four league games.
