Iganmu Overpowered as Sporting Lagos Record First Win in a Month

Sporting Lagos returned to winning ways in style as they brushed Iganmu aside.

One month after defeating Iganmu in the cup, Sporting Lagos repeated the feat, with the same 3-2 scoreline. This time however, the Lagosians didn’t need a comeback victory as they scored twice before the 40-minute mark.

Naziru Ishaq broke the deadlock in the 18th minute before Linus Zika doubled the visitors’ lead in the 36th minute.

Shedrack Famodimu pulled back two goals for Yomi Ogundina’s side in the second half. But whatever comeback on the cards was quashed by Coach Caleb’s lads as Linus Zika bagged his brace in the 75th minute.

It’s the perfect start to the month for Sporting Lagos as they begin December with a bang. Could as well be a month to forget for Iganmu.
