Ebenezer Nwankwo was born in Lagos to Mr And Dr Mrs O Nwankwo. He grew up in Lagos, where he had his primary and secondary school education.

His coaching career began at A.S Racines, where he was a member of the coaching staff in the 2017 NNL season, after that season he proceeded to the National Institute for Sports for a coaching course.

He became the assistant head coach at Racines in the 2018 NLO season. He became the team manager at the same club the following season (2019).

Between January 2020 and March 2021, he was assistant head coach at Zenith Emperor Football Club, and stand-in Head coach for a period.

A firm believer in giving young players and chance to grow and develop, Ebenezer is influenced by Stephen Keshi (of blessed memory) Victor Agali, Sir Alex Ferguson, and Micrea Lucescu to name a few.

He became the Head coach at Iganmu Tiger Football Club in March 2023.
