Dino’s struggle to return to form continued over the weekend as they held Gbagada to a 2-2 draw.
The contest started as a balanced affair, with both sides. The visitors broke the deadlock in the 11th minute. The goal was however ruled for offside after a video review.
Six minutes later, the Blue Eagles soared into the lead, thanks to Paulinus’ opener from a towering header. The lead however lasted just five minutes, as Dino pulled one back from a corner, with Henry restoring parity with his header.
Both sides left off the scoring until the second half. In the 71st minute, Habeeb Adeniran restored Gbagada’s lead with his debut goal. This time, and just like the first, the lead lasted only nine minutes.
10 minutes from time, Daniel Effiong found space in enemy territory and sent home a free header to draw Dino level again. Both sides would settle for a point, with Dino keeping in touch with the Top Four while Gbagada remained within range.
