Imperial See Off Dannaz in Dominant Display

Imperial picked up a first home victory since the 10th of October with a 2-1 win over Dannaz.

The hosts, searching for back-to-back wins, began the game on the front foot. Keeping up their momentum, the broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute, through Kingsley Elijah. The striker, played through in a counter-attacking play, shrugged off his marker before firing past Caleb to put Imperial in front.

The goal put Coach Fatai’s boys under pressure as they struggled to keep up with their hosts. Imperial, on the other hand, grew into the game as they frustrated each Dannaz attempt, while threatening to extend their lead.

However, a second goal did not come until the 88th minute. Second-half substitute, Victor Linus, put the final nail in the coffin, helping Imperial secure back-to-back league wins for a first time this season.
