(Another) Goal Fest in Odogbolu as Dino Return to Winning Ways

Dino extended Imperial’s wait for a first home win of the season, recording a 4-2 victory over their hosts.

The Promise Ayodele-led side started the game on the back-foot, conceding early chances and failing to convert theirs. They were made to rue those missed chances as Dino broke the deadlock in the 36th minute.

A lightning-quick Gerald Uzoma raced past his marker before threading a pass to Daniel Effiong, who sent the ball into an empty net.

Going into the second half, both sides continued to throw away goal-scoring chances, with Dino maintaining a slim lead. In the 51st minute, however, the visitors doubled their lead, with Amos Adzuu dispossessing the goalkeeper and slotting home from close range.

By the hour mark, Amos Adzuu struck again, bagging his brace and extending Dino’s lead. 13 minutes from time, it was Daniel Effiong’s turn to bag a brace, after Imperial failed to clear their lines.

Bashir Abdulkarim (85’) and Aliyu Muhammed (90’) scored two late goals for Imperial. But it wasn’t enough as Imperial bowed to a second defeat of the season.
