Beyond Limits continued their 100% record on the road with a 5-1 victory over Iganmu.
The visitors dominated the game from the blast of the whistle, asking questions of the Iganmu defense. Their hard work paid off when they won an early penalty. Merveille Akinocho sent Peter Olodude the wrong way, breaking the deadlock in the third minute.
In the 29th minute, Merveille turned provider, with his cross finding an unmarked Saka Yusuf, who tucked home from close range. The hosts were too busy dealing with the attacking prowess of their visitors that they could barely muster any kind of attack.
Just before half-time, Beyond Limits added a third. Merveille was again in the mix of things, this time getting his second thanks to a goalkeeping error.
Coach Olumide’s side started the second half like they did the first. Three minutes in, and they scored their fourth, Saka Yusuf finding the top corner with an acrobatic shot. They would add a fifth in the 59th minute, with Daniel Ariehi getting on the scorers’ sheet.
By the time Iganmu pulled one back in the 63rd minute, the ship had already sailed. There would be no comeback for the Tigers as they suffered their biggest home defeat of the season. For Beyond Limits, it’s the perfect response after their home loss to Atlantic Business.
