Beyond Limits Defend Title in Style, Sweep Dino Aside in Convincing Victory

Beyond Limits put three past Dino in an emphatic TCC Cup final victory.

The holders, looking to defend their title, began the game the best way possible, scoring in the fifth minute. Merveille Akinocho’s brilliant turn in front of the box carved up space in the Dino defense. The striker glided his way into the 18-yard area before lobbing the ball over the goalie to break the deadlock.

Coach Olumide’s side may have scored the opening goal. But it was Dino that dominated the rest of the half. However, their profligacy up front meant they went into the break trailing. They would regret those missed chances in the second half as Promise Meliga doubled Beyond Limits’ lead four minutes after restart.

An alert Meliga was on hand to intercept a pass a few meters away from the 18-yard area. He would find space to run into before unleashing a strike that left the goalkeeper flat-footed. Three minutes later, the reigning champions added a third thanks to Merveille’s second goal of the day – a beautiful curler from the left.

Despite all of Dino’s attempts, they failed to manage a comeback as Beyond Limits made it back-to-back TCC Cup titles.
