Odd One Not Out as Dino Pip Valiant in Five-Goal Thriller

Dino picked up a first win in three, scoring the odd goal in a five-goal thriller against Valiant.

Coach Godwin’s lads set the tone early, as they broke the deadlock in the 2nd minute. Samuel Asogbon’s long throw-in found Hassan Agbede who rose highest and nodded the ball in. The goal became Valiant’s wake-up call as the Brave Boys turned up the heat, searching for an equalizer.

Two goal-line clearances and a handful of big chances missed later, the half ended with just one goal, Dino’s early opener.

15 minutes into the second half, Dino scored again. Amoss Adzuu was on hand to tap in from close range after a low cross from the right. He would get his double seven minutes after, pouncing on a rebound off Seth Samuel, with another missed Valiant chance sandwiched between both goals.

Valiant would eventually get their goal and it came in the 74th minute. Sixtus Elegalam danced past three Dino players before sending Abdulraman Dauda on his way on the right. The winger’s low cross found Dolapo Oyetunji who bundled the ball over the line for Valiant’s opener.

Sixtus Elegalam would get Valiant’s second in the fifth minute of stoppage time. However, it wasn’t enough as Coach Timothy’s men lost their third game in a row.
