Beyond Limits Keep Log Leaders in Sight with Away Win

The reigning champions continued their quest to return to the top of the table with a 2-1 triumph over Broad City.

The game, which had a quiet start, came to life in the 15th minute, as Peter Adejimi sent his header just wide of the goal. For all of their efforts however, it was Broad City who broke the deadlock in the 38th minute.

Daniel Aiyenugba failed to deal with a long throw into his 18-yard box. The resulting melee saw the ball fall kindly to Iwuajoku Boluwatife who quickly booted the ball into the net.

Coach Olumide’s boys were made to wait till the 55th minute to draw level. And when they did, it was world-class. After a series of short passes exchanged, Hasssan Wahab received the ball inside enemy territory, opened up his body, and curled the equalizer past Isaac to draw the visitors level.

18 minutes later, Wahab doubled his tally as the reigning champions raced into the lead – a lead they held onto till the end of the game. It’s a statement win for Beyond Limits as they keep Real Sapphire in their sights.
