VOE, Broad City Cancel Out Each Other in Six-Goal Fiesta

A league classic, featuring six goals, produced no winner, as VOE FA and Broad City canceled each other out.

Fans didn’t have to wait long to see goals in this clash as the first, scored by VOE, came just two minutes after kickoff. Odo Chimezie rose highest to nod home a corner kick and put the league newbies in front.

Just after the half hour mark, Broad City equalized through Akinwumi Abubakar, who was perfectly positioned to net a rebound after an initial shot came off the goalie’s leg. But just before half time, Abdulraheem Taiwo’s goal made sure VOE went into the break in the lead.

11 minutes after the break, Muhammed Sodiq extended VOE’s lead. And it seemed the hosts were cruising to victory. But Sanusi Hanif and his teammates had other ideas. The winger pulled one back in the 67th minute before Famoyegun drew the visitors level with five minutes to spare.
