For a fourth time this season, a Dino game ended in a draw as Coach Gibson’s lads were held by Dannaz.
The home team started on the front foot, pressing for that early goal to set the pace of the game. They would go on to break the deadlock in the 17th minute with Daniel Effiong getting on the scoresheet. The winger was on hand to chest the ball into the net after Omolabi fumbled it.
The visitors would have drawn level just a few minutes after the goal. But Shuaib failed to make the most of his big chance, side-footing the ball past the goal, with only the keeper to beat.
Dannaz would however go on to take advantage of the next big chance that came their way. But they had to wait till the 75th minute.
Second-half substitute, Adebayo Damilola, received a defense-splitting pass from Dare Adeyemi. The midfielder turned his marker inside out before slotting the ball into the bottom left corner of Friday’s goal.
Despite their first draw of the campaign, there’s still plenty for Dannaz to do to climb out of the bottom half of the table.
MAN OF THE MATCH
Fabian Sylvanus (Dino)
At the heart of the Dino machinery, very little got past the defensive midfielder.
