Valiant continued their recently found good form in TCC League, as they pipped Atlantic Business 2-1 on Saturday.
The Brave boys claimed their first win of the season against Dino SC last weekend and came into this game full of confidence against an ATL side playing poorly at the moment.
However, ATL started the game brightly and came out fighting early and keen to put an end to their poor run of just a win in their past five league games.
Actions were happening at both ends of the pitch and when it looked like the half would end in a stalemate, the home side got the opening goal. Moyosore Onikoyi fired an indirect free-kick home five minutes from the interval. That goal changed the context of the half-time team talk for Mustapha Owolabi in the Valiant dugout.
After the break, Valiant switched up the ante and kept coming forward trying to find a way back into the contest. And the moment came in the final 20 minutes of the game as Elegalam Sixtus dragged his side level in the 72nd minute before man-in-form Abiodun Toheeb popped up with the winner deep into stoppage time.
With the win, Valiant moved one point behind Gbagada who are placed ninth, while ATL’s slump continues.
