Emmydinho failed to pick maximum points away from home again as they fell to Gbagada.
The away side, started the game the stronger of the two teams, creating a goal scoring chance as early as the sith minute. However, the chance was wasted.
Emmydinho created two more goal-scoring chances before the first third of the half. Wasteful again in front of goal, they failed to convert.
With the pressure piling up and the chances coming non-stop, the away side took the lead as Oparaocha Chidera put one past goalkeeper Olotu.
This was the wake up call the Blue Eagles needed as they pulled one back just nine minutes after. With Ademola Akibu getting fouled at the edge of the area, Balogun Wasiu stepped up and converted a well-taken freekick.
Both teams finished the half with one apiece. The search for the winner continued in the second half, and it was Gbagada who would take the lead as Ademola Akibu put one past Vincent at the near post in the 50th minute.
The second half was all about Gbagada as the created chance after chance but were unable to get a third.
With 5 minutes of normal time to go, Ademola grabbed his second of the game, curling one in with his left foot.
