Dannaz Hand Valiant Fourth Loss of the Season

Dannaz heaped more pressure on Valiant on Match Week 5 of TCC League.

The home team, after losing to Imperial a week before, started the fixture on the front foot, getting the first goal of the game in as early as the third minute. Paul Aderibigbe was on hand to give his side the lead.

Coming into this game, Valiant were still in search of their first win of the season. Not to be deterred by the early goal conceded and in a bid to keep up with the pace Dannaz had set with the early goal, Olaniyan Gafar pulled one back for the visitors.

The frenetic pace the game started with continued, with each side trying to get the better of the other. Dannaz would however take the lead again, this time in the 28th minute, through Yahaya Saidu.

But the first half scoring spree wasn’t done yet.

Two minutes before half-time, Adeyemi Meshark was brought on, replacing  pounced to restore parity between both sides going into the break.

The second half was not different from the first. Both sides showed intensity and hunger, raring to go for the jugular.

Aderibigbe drew first blood (again) for Dannaz with his first of the half, and the second of the game. His movement on and off the ball was a headache for the Valiant defense who could little next to nothing to stop him from banging in his second.

Dannaz’s third goal did the trick as Valiant were unable to recover. All efforts to score a third was thwarted by the Dannaz goalie, Toheeb Abdulazeez whose heroics in goal safeguarded the three points.

As for the visitors, the wait for the first win of the season continues.
