Beyond Limits Earn Broad Win Over Broad City

Beyond Limits made extremely light work of Broad City with a 7-0 bashing at the Remo Stars stadium in Ikenne on Sunday.

The defending champions have hit top gear in recent weeks and continued in that vein by winning their third consecutive game in the TCC League. On Broad City’s part, with just a win in their past five, they were clear underdogs going into this game.

In the opening five minutes of the game, striker Morufdeen Moshood notched a brace, two goals in two minutes, to give coach Olumide Ajibolade’s men the perfect start.

Two soon became three when skipper Onyebuchi Obasi increased the home side’s lead shortly before the half-hour mark. Broad City were shocked and had no answers to whatever the junior sky blue stars offered.

After the break, BYL went a notch higher as Moshood and Obasi scored to complete their individual hat-tricks. Meanwhile, winger Ogundana Shola also scored to complete the rout.

It was the side’s second 7-0 win in consecutive home games and they are looking good at the moment. For Broad City, they are in dire need of good results going forward.
