Sporting Lagos v Imperial

Saturday, January 14th

1PM

Abati Barracks, Surulere

High-flying Sporting Lagos resume their TCC League business this weekend when they host Imperial.

Both sides have been easily two of the best in the league this season, placing second and fourth on the log respectively.

Catch up will be the name of the game for Imperial this weekend as they sit two points behind their opponents. A win can send them into a top three spot as they continue their bid to catch up with Beyond Limits.

As high-flying as Coach Adedeji Ayeoba’s side have been this season – they’re the only side to score six times in more than one TCC League game – they still have to be wary of their opponents.

Led by Coach Ogunmoyeru Oluwaseun, Sporting have had a blistering start to life in the league. They’ve lost only once so far this season and are the third-highest scoring side in the league, behind Beyond Limits and Imperial.

Having scored at least two goals in each of their last three TCC League games, they’re more than a handful for any side in the league, including the most prolific team in the league, Imperial.

STAT ATTACK

The first time both sides met in the TCC League, it ended in a six-goal thriller, with both sides sharing the spoils.

MAN TO WATCH

Adio Ojora (Sporting Lagos)

He’s the top scorer in the league, with six goals so far. He will be sniffing dangerously around Imperial’s 18-yard box this weekend, seeking to add to his tally.
